About Brent Rippentrop
Brent Rippentrop serves as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis for RSC (Rental Service Corporation) Equipment, a position he has held since 2010. He draws upon nearly 30 years of experience with Deere & Company, where he began as an intern and eventually became Vice President of Marketing. Brent Rippentrop's educational and professional experiences also provide him with a broad frame of reference.
Mr. Rippentrop began his long tenure with Deere & Company in 1979, working as a summer intern at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works. He received experience in accounting, which he subsequently applied to the position of Internal Auditor in 1980. Mr. Rippentrop audited the company's North American factories and soon moved on to the position of Accountant in 1981. Using his experience in auditing and accounting, he accepted the position of Sales Finance Analyst in 1986. As a member of the John Deere Information Systems group, Mr. Rippentrop helped to design and implement financial systems in an effort to provide John Deere dealers with automation.
As Mr. Rippentrop's experience grew, so did his level of responsibility. In 1990, he began a two-year period as the Treasury Manager of Finance. In this role, Mr. Rippentrop employed derivatives to hedge interest rates within the company. Assuming the role of Manager of Business Development in 1992, he engaged in strategic planning, research, joint ventures, and more. One of his signature accomplishments involved selling Deere & Company's life insurance division to a client who kept its original employees.
Brent Rippentrop's diverse duties within Deere & Company led to well over a decade with senior management. His affiliations include service with the American Financial Service Association's Board of Directors, and he contributes to the United Way.
